Wait times

Wait times on our phone lines are longer than usual due to staff shortages. Please read the information on our website as this may answer your questions and avoid an extended wait time on our phone line. Wait times are generally shorter from 9 am to 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We regret any inconvenience caused by the wait times.

If you are calling for someone else

We can give you general information about human rights, but we will have to speak directly with the person affected by the discrimination.


We can provide service in 140 languages. Just call us, and we will arrange to speak with you in the language of your choice. You can also provide your own interpreter. Select information sheets are on this web site in Chinese, Vietnamese, Urdu, Arabic, Somali, Spanish, Tamil, Punjabi, and Tagalog.

Disability-related needs
